5:26p - oh, yeah. that weekend thing.
in a nutshell:
- saw jarhead (even more disturbing than i anticipated)
- had dinner with rj
- watched a surprisingly-interesting biography about the bee gees
- lost the back to one of my diamond earrings
- had good, clean bowling fun
- saw a great band from oakland called the lovemakers, who blew me away with their sexified-retro, 80s-meets-guitars, synth-meets-substance pop/rock
- slept an inordinately long time from saturday-to-sunday (13 hours? what's up with this?)
- cleaned up the tortured remains of the mellie-plant, who the gangsters knocked off the divider while i was away (jury's still out on whether or not she'll pull through)
- survived a half-teasing lecture from a new acquaintance on my love for bacon, and
- got a midnight ride on the back of a bad-ass ducati monster (please, sir, may i have another?!)
now, if only the sun would stick its head out sometime; it's has been raining for all but 2 (non-consecutive) days out of the last 2 weeks. *sigh* funny, i didn't remember moving to seattle... knowing my history with SAD, i hope this is not a harbinger of what winter will actually be like here.
